The presence of one good adult in a young person’s life has a positive influence on their mental health. Be it a parent, teacher, football coach or school bus driver, we all have a role in supporting the young people around us. Check out the stories below. They have been created by one of our partner organisations, Jigsaw, and they show the impact One Good Adult can have on a young person’s life.
One good adult:
One good teacher:
Jigsaw, The National Centre for Youth Mental Health, is there to ensure that no young person feels alone, isolated and disconnected from others around them. They provide vital supports to young people with their mental health by working closely with communities across Ireland.
Jigsaw currently has 13 Services in communities across Ireland providing mental health support to young people, and are continuing to grow year on year. Jigsaw Services provide young people aged 12-25 with a place they can visit for free and confidential support from trained mental health professionals.
