One thing I do to feel well is swimming. I swim regularly for lots of different reasons. As well as being good exercise and helping me to stay fit, it helps to clear my mind.
I find that while swimming I can switch off and just focus on my breathing and counting strokes and lengths.
I guess it’s almost a form of mindfulness in that it helps me to focus and leaves no time or energy for the hundreds of thoughts that would otherwise be swirling around my mind. I usually leave the pool feeling relaxed but also energised and wide awake despite the fact I often go swimming before work as the pool is much quieter!
