Random acts of kindness
Go for a stroll in the nearest park/wood, or the streets of your town, wherever you feel most comfortable. Take note of your surroundings, be in an observing and contemplative mode. Do not discriminate, pay particular attention to the details that you would normally omit.
Listen, smell the air, watch the clouds and then come back again to the little flower in the garden you're passing by, or the little stray cat sneaking by the fence, or the homeless person sleeping on the sidewalk, or the child walking alone sulking, or the ant struggling to carry a load twice larger than her...
You will know when your intervention is needed. Don't be over zealous about it, though. And when you act, you will feel better about yourself, if only for a moment. Do it again, make it a habit.
