I've started writing down a list of simple things I feel grateful for when I get into bed every night. It's great to read over them again and remember what makes me happy.

It's usually things that haven't yet happened that cause me anxiety, if I wake during the night or early in the morning.

So the message to self is ........try to stay away from predicting the future. It might never happen.

Focussing on my 'in breath' and 'out breath' is also very helpful.
