Find joy in the little things

For me this is:

  • A greeting from my dogs or my cat - jumping on my knee to be petted. Animals sense how we are feeling and give support in their way. 
  • Exercise is the best way to get those endorphins going, when has anyone ever regretted a workout?!
  • A hug from a niece or nephew also works and it's lovely to see the world through a child's eyes, for even a few minutes. It's very uplifting. 
  • Even though I live an hour away from the beach, a drive there followed by an hour's walk with my camera - taking pictures & finding the beauty in everything - does the soul good. Breathe deep.
